About GPI
The Passion that started it all
Hi, I’m Lisa. My life has always revolved around property. I began building design skills at age six by remodeling dollhouses—which eventually led to drafting classes in high school (pre-CAD), a major in Architecture, a minor in Interior Design, and a career in architectural design in the U.S. and abroad.
My Day-job provided exposure to building sites, gave me an understanding of working with contractors, properties of materials, contingencies, schedules and delays. But it wasn’t until I carried out my own first small project (long before YouTube) that I became more confident to carry out larger ones.
After returning to the U.S. from life in Europe, I focused on property renovation and investment, which led me to pursue a real estate license. I wanted access to tools and knowledge to find the best opportunities in any given market .

Why Real Estate Became More Than a License
I originally intended to use my real estate license to support my own renovation work. Instead, I learned that truly understanding the market required working directly with clients, touring homes, studying real-time data, and using every available tool. It required full-time commitment and genuine dedication.
What surprised me most about real estate was what it revealed about how emotion and perception balanced against access to information affects decision-making. This psychology of buying and selling is what ultimately drew me in. I saw how choices that felt straightforward to me often created anxiety, stress, and fear for clients and homeowners alike – and felt compelled to help.
Helping People Through Big Decisions
Over time, I addressed recurring questions such as those about condition and presentation from Home Sellers, and questions about property evaluation and potential from Home Buyers. So I began creating practical guides and resources for the moments just before and just after a real estate transaction – as a sort of transition for my clients.
I collected that information in one place and eventually started to put it online. Since then, it has grown into a resource for people who want to make smart decisions about fixing, renovating, preparing or upgrading, in order to sell, or to move into, or simply to love more.
So, here it is—I hope it helps.
